Orlando Orville Hodson was born in Carthage, Indiana in 1857. He moved to Oregon in 1878 and after working two years in Salem, moved to McMinnville. He bought out his father’s hardware store in 1888 and was very successful. He owned his own business block and a fine residence property, all of which he acquired through intelligent endeavor and upright dealing. He was a 32nd degree Scottish rite Mason. He was also a member of the Woodmen.
