E. C. Apperson is a native Oregonian, born in Oregon City, May 30th, 1870 and came to McMinnville in 1884. At the organization of the McMinnville National Bank in 1883, he was employed as bookkeeper. He became director in 1885. He was elected city treasurer in December 1893. He was a prominent Mason of the 30th degree Scottish rite. In April 1893, he married Miss Alves B. Norwood of Marion County. They had one son.
