Charles P. Nelson

Charles P. Nelson is one of McMinnville’s native sons. He was manager of the McMinnville Grange & Farmers Co., the largest general merchandise business in the city. It employed eleven clerks. Mr. Nelson was one of the best known and appreciated young men in the county. He was an active church worker—superintendent of the Sunday school and clerk of the session of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and president and superintendent of the C. E. work of Oregon synod. He was identified with the Masonic and Maccabee orders, and a member of Alert Hose Co.
