Elsia Wright was born in Knox County, Illinois in 1851. At the age of 20 years, he came to Oregon and farmed until 1888. Wright then opened a harness business, which was very successful.

Collin A. Wallace was born in Michigan in 1834, and was left an orphan at the age of 15 years.
Newby
William T. Newby was born March 23, 1820, in McMinnville, Tennessee. He was orphaned at the age of six and later moved to Missouri, where on October 14, 1841 he married Miss Sarah Jane McGary. Newby was a traveling companion of John Gordon Baker during the 1843 Great Migration.
Nelson
Charles P. Nelson is one of McMinnville's native sons. He was manager of the McMinnville Grange & Farmers Co., the largest general merchandise business in the city.
McPhillips
Arthur McPhillips was Mayor of the city of McMinnville, attorney at law, and member of the Encampment Executive Committee.
